Began Karate Training:
1983 – Aki’s Karate Association under the instruction of Jann Aki Sensei in a small backyard dojo that is still in operation to this date.
Experience Instructing Karate:
In 1996, at the request of Aki Sensei began teaching classes at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) Kaneohe. On February 1, 2011, with the blessings of United Goju-Kan Karate Do, started the Windward Goju-Kan Karate-Do. Classes are currently held at MCBH Kaneohe and at Kainalu Elementary School in Kailua.

Sensei: Galen Fujimoto
Began Karate Training:
1970 – Kenshukan under the instruction of James Miyaji Sensei.
1989 – Joined United Goju-Kan Karate Do under the instruction of Jann Aki Sensei.
Experience Instructing Karate:
Has assisted with many dojos throughout the years. In 2011, agreed to commit to sharing of knowledge and experience with the newly formed Windward Goju-Kan Karate-Do.
Additional:
Was an avid & accomplished competitor of the old Hawaii Karate Congress tournaments during the early 70’s through the 80’s.
